We will report if we were unable or able to locate any information with respect to a record of a criminal conviction, or charge(s) pending before the courts in Canada based on the name, date of birth and gender provided.
The information reported should not be the sole determinant in an evaluation of a candidate and is to be used for the purpose of determining employment suitability only. This information is to be kept secure and confidential and is not to be disseminated to any other person or agency. It is further understood that only a “bona fide” reason is allowable for refusing to hire an applicant as outlined in the Human Rights Code.
This search will not cover criminal offenses which fall within the Youth Criminal Justice Act (formerly Young Offenders Act).
