An Employment Confirmation is conducted with the candidate’s past employers, confirming details such as employment start and end, position, and if able to provide, reason for leaving. Confirmations are only done with Human Resources or payroll departments, and in some cases, executive management and/or owners. We also confirm contracts for self-employed persons with their past clients.

Our criminal record checks are conducted within Canada, and are pulled from the CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) database, Canada’s only national law enforcement networking computer system. CPIC is maintained by the RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) with central registry located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

Vulnerable sector checks are used to verify if an individual has a record suspension (formerly pardon) for sex offences.
Vulnerable Sector Checks are conducted in Canada and are pulled from the following sources: The National Repository of Criminal Records, Investigative Data Bank on CPIC, Police Information Portal (PIP), and local police records. Vulnerable Sector Checks are governed by section 6.3(3) of the Criminal Records Act.

Driver’s Abstract record shows a potential history of impaired driving, speeding, reckless driving, driver’s licence details, active suspensions, status of licence and fines – all cited within the past 3 years, depending on the province of residence. Driver’s Abstracts are provincially regulated, and some provinces require specific consent. Otherwise, Driver’s Abstracts are a commonly done pre-employment check.
